Candice Chung & Rianne Lau Headline Opera Hong Kong’s ‘The Merry Widow’ Production

Opera Hong Kong is set to present “The Merry Widow” at Hong Kong City Hall on August 15 and 16, 2025.

Warren Mok produced a production directed by Tang Xinxin and conducted by Michael Koehler. Koehler and Xinxin previously collaborated on the company’s 2024 production of “The Abduction of the Seraglio.”

Taking on the role of Hanna Glaware are Candice Chung and Rianne Lau. Henry Ngan and Lam Kwok Ho share the role of Count Danilo, while Albert Lim takes on Baron Zeta.

The two performances are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. local time.
