Plácido Domingo Celebrates 4,000 Performances

Placido Domingo celebrated his 4,000 performance of his career.

In a social media post, the world famous tenor noted that with his performance of “Simon Boccanegra” at the Wiener Staatsoper on April 1, 2019, he would have sung 4,000 performances. He also mentioned that the total did not include conducting performances.

Domingo once again breaks his own record for performances and continues his legacy and legendary career. He recently celebrated his 50th anniversary with the Wiener Staatsoper and will celebrate his 50th anniversary with the San Francisco Opera and the Metropolitan Opera this season.

Domingo is set to appear at the Metropolitan Opera for performances of “La Traviata” and will be honored in a special gala for his 50th anniversary. He also returns to the Los Angeles Opera for “El Gato Montes.
