OperaVision 2017-18 Live Stream: Aurelia Florian Headlines ‘La Traviata’ From Den Norske Opera & Ballet

Opera Vision will start streaming Verdi’s “La Traviata” from Den Norske Opera and Ballet starting on April 14, 2018.

The Verdi masterpiece will feature Aurelia Florian as the famed heroine with Matteo Lippi as her lover Alfredo. Yngve Søberg sings the role of Germont. Julia Jones conducts the production by Tatjana Gürbaca.

The stream kicks off at 8 p.m. local time. That’s around 3 p.m. EDT and 12 p.m. PST for the start time. It will be available for repeat viewings on Opera Vision until Oct. 13, 2018.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals. OperaVision brings together 30 partners from 18 countries and invites you to travel and discover the diversity of opera from wherever you want, whenever you want.”

Next up on the slate of live streams will be “La Favorite.”
