Fort Worth Opera has announced that soprano Jennifer Rowley will headline the company’s Southern Soirée Gala.

The gala slated for May 4 at The Stonegate Mansion, will be part of the 2019 Fort Worth Opera Festival. The soprano will be joined by two of the stars of the 2019 Festival at this elegant spring Gala; they are international tenor Daniel Montenegro and soprano Maren Weinberger.

Over the past few seasons, Rowley has become a household name making a triumphant Metropolitan Opera role debut as Roxane in Alfano’s “Cyrano de Bergerac” and later appear with the company in the title role of Puccini’s “Tosca” and Leonora in Verdi’s “Il Trovatore.” She also made her Opéra National de Paris during the summer.

In 2019 Ms. Rowley will step into the role of Tosca once again at The Metropolitan Opera, and make her debut in the title role of Cilea’s “Adriana Lecouvreur” with the company. She will also make debuts at The Dallas Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, Opera Australia, and Opéra de Marseille, with additional engagements to follow at The Met through 2020.
