The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari is set to present Mascagni’s “Messa di Gloria” for its Christmas Concert.

The concert, which will be performed without an audience will be streamed on Dec. 22 on Videolina and live streamed in collaboration with Gruppo L’Unione Sarda.

Yves Abel will conduct the rarely performed piece with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Lirico. Soloists will include tenor Matteo Desole and baritone Daniele Terenzi.

The concert will last 60 minutes and will include commentary by Teresa Piredda and will be directed for television by Angelo Palla.

The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari also announced that it will follow all guidelines imposed by the department of health in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The concert will also be broadcast on Dec. 27 on Videolina and will be available on-demand on www.videolina.it.
