Yusif Eyvazov Recieves Honorary Award

Yusif Eyvazov has received the title of Honorary Professor of Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music.

The tenor received the honor following a performance of Verdi’s “Don Carlo” on April 18 at the Bolshoi Theatre.

Eyvazov announced the news on Instagram stating, “Tonight after my last Performance of ‘Don Carlo’ in Bolshoi Theatre I had a great Honor to receive the title of HONORARY PROFESOR of Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music!! Thanks my dear friend gasymov ramin and to the Rector Sherbakova Anna!!”

Eyvazov recently performed a production of “Don Carlo” alongside Anna Netrebko, Ferruccio Furlanetto, and Plácido Domingo. This month he returns to the Mariinsky Theatre for “La Faniculla del West” and is set to perform the work at the Berlin State Opera.

The Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music was established in 1918 as the 1st People’s Music School and in the course of time, it advanced from the Music secondary school to Oktyabryskaya Revolytsiya Music College and, finally, to the Music Institute.
