By Logan Martell

On May 14, 2022, Young People’s Chorus of New York City will kick off Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City initiative with “Sing New York,” a public sing-along to be held in the Josie Robertson Plaza.

YPC Creative Director and conductor Elizabeth Núñez will lead this free event, with New Yorkers encouraged to lend their voices as the young choristers perform songs such as “This Little Light of Mine,” “Your Song,” “That’s Amore,” “La Sopa De Isabel,” “Love Train,” and more.

QR codes will be made available to provide lyrics for the selections.

“We cannot wait to join New Yorkers on the Josie Robertson Plaza and raise our voices in song,” said Núñez in an official press statement. “The energy and joy will be palpable, and our choristers are excited to kick off Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City.”
