Yolanda Auyanet Leads Ópera de Tenerife’s ‘Giovanna d’Arco’

Ópera de Tenerife is set to present Verdi’s rarely performed “Giovanna d’Arco.”

The company will present a production from the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. Lukasz Borowicz will conduct the work with Emilio López directing the revival of the production.

The opera will be performed at the Sala Sinfónica on March 25, 27, and 29 and will star Yolanda Auyanet in the title role of Giovanna d’Arco, Airam Hernández as Carlo VII, and Juan Jesús Rodríguez as Giacomo.

The cast will be rounded out by Vazgen Gazaryan and Gabriel Álvarez.

This season the company has already performed productions of “Madama Butterfly,” “Die Fledermaus,” and “Trouble in Tahiti.” It is set to end its season with a production of “Parsifal.”
