Yolanda Auyanet Leads ABAO Bilbao Opera’s ‘Maria Stuarda’

On Feb. 14, the ABAO Bilbao Opera is set to present Donizetti’s “Maria Stuarda.”

The opera will be presented for times through Feb. 23, 2026 and will star Yolanda Auyanet in the title role and Maria Barakova as Elisabetta I.

They will be joined by Filip Filipović as Roberto, Conte di Leicester, Manuel Fuentes as Giorgio Talbot, Cristina del Barrio as Anna Kennedy,  and Milan Perišić as Lord Guglielmo Cecil.

The Euskadiko Orkestra will be conducted by Iván López Reynoso.

Emilio López will direct the production which features stage design by Carmen Castañón and costume design by Naiara Beistegui.
