
Yeongtaek Yang Joins Centre Stage Artist Management

Centre Stage Artist Management has announced that baritone Yeongtaek Yang has joined its roster for general management.
Yang holds degrees in voice from Seoul National University and the Manhattan School of Music, and is an alumnus of the Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Artist Program and the Chautauqua Institution. Yang has received top honors in numerous major vocal competitions, including first prize in the 2024 Gerda Lissner Foundation International Vocal Competition (Opera Division), first place in the Manhattan School of Music’s 2024 Alan M. and Joan Taub Ades Vocal Competition, first prize in the 2022 Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition, Second prize in the 2024 Loren L. Zachary National Vocal Competition.
Currently, Yang is in his second year of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Metropolitan Opera. During the Met’s 2024-25 season, he made his company debut as Marullo in “Rigoletto” and appeared as the Second Nazarene in “Salome.” This season at the Met, he will perform Moralès in “Carmen” and Prince Yamadori in “Madama Butterfly,” as well as covers Ping in “Turandot” and Roucher in “Andrea Chénier.”
Further engagements include appearances at Dallas Opera, Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, and a concert with the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society.
