The Howard Assembly Room in Leeds has announced four new appointments to its core team, alongside plans for expanded programming and a renovated bar space.

Michael Wilkinson joins as Director of Strategy and Commercial for both Opera North and the Howard Assembly Room.

Megan Beaton takes on the role of Commercial Sales Manager, having previously held senior roles with Hilton and Escapism Bars.

Ryan Kiernan, who has worked with with credits including the Grand Opera House York, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and the BAFTAs, becomes Visitor Experience Manager.

Finally, Sue Goward joins as Visitor Experience Coordinator.

The four join General Manager and Lead Programmer Tony Green, who took on his role last year.

The venue has also launched a volunteer scheme to allow members of the public to take on roles including welcoming audiences and showing people to their seats.
