XXIII International Festival of Sacred Music and Art Announces 2024 Lineup

Details of the 2024 programming for XXIII International Festival of Sacred Music and Art has been announced.

For the purposes of this article only vocal related events are included.

Rossana Cardia, Angela Nicoli, Vincenzo Spinelli, and Gaetano Merone are soloists with the IlluminArt Chorus. Tomomi Nishimoto conducts Orchestra di Roma in Mozart’s “Requiem” in D minor.

Performance Date: November 15, 2024 (Basilica of San Giovanni)

Johanna Winkel, Ingeborg Danz, Lukas Siebert, and Anton Kirchhoff perform alongside Vokalensemble Kölner Dom in Bach’s “Mass in B minor,” BWV 232. Eberhard Metternich conducts the Concerto Köln.

Performance Date: November 16, 2024 (Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore)

The Spanish children’s choirs, Escolanía del Escorial perform Arvo Pärt’s “Da pacem Domine” under the baton of José María Abad Bolufer.

Performance Date: November 18, 2024 (Basilica of Sant’Agostino in Campo Marzio)

Alois Mühlbacher performs in the festival’s closing production. Markus Stumpner conducts the soloist in a tribute to Bruckner, along with the works of Mendelssohn and Schubert.

Performance Date: November 18, 2024 (The Church of Sant’Ignazio di Loyola in Campo Marzio )
