Worcester Music Festival & Worcester Chorus Unveil January 2026 Concert Series

The Worcester Music Festival (WMF) and the Worcester Chorus has announced a series of January concerts.

Claire Fontijn, Phyllis Henderson Carey Professor of Music at Wellesley College, will present pre-concert talks before each performance.

First up is “Christmas Oratorio” at Unitarian Universalist Church and Mechanics Hall. The showcase will feature three sections from Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio” for chorus, soloists, and orchestra. Soloists include Louise Fauteux, Megan Roth, Charles Blandy, and Kevin Deas. Chris Shepard, Artistic Director of the Worcester Chorus, leads the performance.

Performance Date: Jan. 23 & 24, 2026


Then comes “Capella Alamire” at the Unitarian Universalist Church. The program includes music by Isaac and Févin.
