The Musicians Foundation will present “Behind the Baton: Insights from a Maestro” on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025.

The event, scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the United Palace Theater in New York City, will feature Riccardo Frizza, Musical and Artistic Director of the Donizetti Opera Festival, in conversation with opera expert Fred Plotkin.

Frizza is in the midst of conducting a run of “La Sonnambula” at the Metropolitan Opera. He will offer up insights into his artistry, interpretive process, and experiences in the world of opera.

The discussion will have a duration of 60 minutes and will be followed by a 30-minute audience Q&A.
