Wolf Trap has announced its 2026 season which will include an Opera and Classical music program.

Opera

Rossini’s “La Cenerentola“ will be conducted by Louis Lohraseb and Joel Ivany. Angela Yam, Sophia Maekawa, Cumhur Görgün, Ziniu Zhao, Angel Gomez, and Korin Thomas-Smith star.

Performance Dates: June 18, 21, 25, and 27, 2026; The Barns at Wolf Trap

Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin“ will star Aubrey Odle, Cecelia McKinley, Elissa Pfaender, Magdalena Kuźma, Daniel O’Hearn, Finn Sagal, Jack Hicks, Michael Appiah Kubi Mensah, Jack Burrows, and Sergio Martinez.

Steven White conducts the production by Emma Griffin.

José Luis Gómez conducts Puccini’s “Tosca“ with Cumhur Görgün, Sergio Martinez, Demetrious Sampson Jr., Tessa McQueen, Jonathan Patton, Wayd Odle, Søren Pedersen, Calista Ro-Jei Smith, and Christopher Rodriguez Gray.

Concerts 

Gianandrea Noseda leads the National Symphony Orchestra and Wolf Trap Opera soloists in an all-Beethoven program featuring “The Consecration of the House” Overture and “Elegiac Song,” Op. 118 leading into the Ninth Symphony and its momentous “Ode to Joy.”

Renée Fleming will host NextGen, a recital featuring three recent alumni of Wolf Trap Opera’s Filene Artist program.

Wolf Trap will present three free public master classes led by highly respected artists, offering audiences a rare opportunity to observe leading performers working closely with the next generation of opera talent. Will Liverman will lead the first master class.

Masterclass Date: May 31, 2026

Steven Blier, who will conduct a master class focused on song and interpretation with Wolf Trap Opera’s Studio Artists.

Masterclass Date: June 9, 2026

The final masterclass will be led by Renée Fleming.

Aria Jukebox will return to The Barns at Wolf Trap.

Wolf Trap Opera’s Salon Series also returns to The Barns at Wolf Trap for four limited-capacity, artist-curated evenings.
