
Wilmington Concert Opera & Opera Fresca to Present ‘Carmen’
By David SalazarWilmington Concert Opera (WCO) and Opera Fresca will collaborate on a semi-staged production of Bizet’s “Carmen.”
The cast features Kirsten C. Kunkle in the title role, with Rebecca Sacks as cover. Chris Lorge sings Don José, covered by Michael A. Lienhard. Kevin Patrick takes on Escamillo, with Braedon O’Hara as cover, while Bethann Dilione sings Micaëla, covered by Amber Johnson. John T.K. Scherch appears as Zuniga, covered by Michael Spaziani. Kyle Chastulik sings Le Dancaïre, covered by James Baker; Noah Donahue sings Le Remendado, covered by Matt Mangus. Kaitlyn Beth Tierney sings Mercédès, covered by Christa Schimitsch, and Marisa Robinson sings Frasquita, covered by Elizabeth Oliver. Dante Doganiero appears as Moralès, also covered by Michael Spaziani.
Connor Fluharty serves as Music Director, Pianist, and Chorus Master, with Kevin Patrick directing the stage.
Performances take place Nov. 13 and 15 at Covenant Community Services in Wilmington, Delaware, and Nov. 20 and 22 at St. Alban’s in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
