Wilmington Concert Opera Unveils 2024 Season

Wilmington Concert Opera has announced its 2024 season “Voices of Home.”

It all kicks off with the virtual recital “Norwegian Fairytales” featuring soprano Claire Galloway and pianist John Henderson.

Streaming Date: January 2024

Then comes “Sounds Like Pearls,” another virtual recital in honor of Black History Month. Soprano Jade Dashá and pianist Mark Bilyeu perform.

Streaming Date: February 2024

Then comes the 2024 Gala starring William Lim, Grant Youngblood, Elise Christina Jenkins, Laurice Simmons Kennel, Kirsten C. Kunkle, Marisa Robinson, Paula Rivera-Dantagnan, and Robert Tucker. David Hearn will perform at the piano. ohn Michael will be the Stage Manager for the performances.

Performance Dates: May 3 & 5, 2024

The season closes with the Mainstage production of “Die Fledermaus.” The main cast stars Kirsten C. Kunkle, Marisa Robinson, Rachel Cetel, Hunter Shaner, Justin Huie, Douglas Rowaland, Chris Lorge, Kevin Patrick, Tom Sitzler, and Daniel Patano. Chorus members include Jacob Bowman, Jason Brocious, Kyle Chastulik, Hayley Collins, Konrad Fritz, Alex Gilliam, Genevieve Hahn, Camilo Matos, Rachel Pomeranz, Mary Reppy, Kaitlyn Beth Tierney, Robert Tucker, and Suzannah Waddington.

Artem Tenkeli will be the music director and perform on the piano.
