
Wiener Staatsoper Announces Two Streams with Krassimira Stoyanova
By Francisco SalazarThe Wiener Staatsoper has announced that it will stream “Il Trovatore” and “Der Rosenkavalier.”
The company said that on May 30, it will showcase Verdi’s masterwork with a cast that includes Luca Salsi, Piotr Beczała, Krassimira Stoyanova, and Ekaterina Semenchuk. Marco Armiliato will conduct the production by Daniele Abbado.
Then on June 17, the company will stream a performance of Strauss’ work with Krassimira Stoyanova, Günther Groissböck, Emily D’Angelo, Adrian Eröd, and Sabine Devieilhe. Adam Fischer conducts the classic Otto Schenk production.
The company also noted that it will broadcast its recent production of Wagner’s “Tannhäuser” on June 1 on Mezzo TV following a streamed recording on May 25. The cast includes Clay Hilley, Malin Byström, Ekaterina Gubanova, Martin Gantner, and Günther Groissböck. Philippe Jordan conducts the production by Lydia Steier.
