The Wiener Staatsoper has announced several cast changes for its performance of “Die Tote Stadt” on Feb. 14, 2022.

The company revealed that Norbert Ernst will sing the role of Paul from off-stage while Wolfgang Schilly will act out the role. Meanwhile, Patricia Nolz will sing the role of Lucienne, and Angelo Pollak will sing the role of Victorin. Yoel Gamzou will take over conducting for Thomas Guggeis.

The four artists will join a cast that includes Vida Mikneviciute, Adrian Eröd, Monika Bohinec, Wolfgang Schilly, Anna Nekhames, Stephanie Houtzeel, Robert Bartneck, and Daniel Jenz.

The performance will mark the final show in the run; the showcase was scheduled to be live-streamed on the company’s Wiener Staatsoper platform but has now been canceled due to the many changes in the cast.
