Wiener Staatsoper Announces Cast Change for ‘Don Pasquale’

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced a cast change for its upcoming production of Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale.”

The company said that Andrea Carroll will take over the role of Norina on Sept. 5 and 8, replacing Nina Minasyan, who was originally announced.

Carroll is a soprano who recently made house debuts at The Metropolitan Opera,  Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Canadian Opera Company, Palm Beach Opera, and Teatro Colón.

In “Don Pasquale,” she is set to join a cast that includes Ambrogio Maestri, Dmitry Korchak, and Stefan Astakhov. Gianluca Capuano conducts the production by Irina Brook.

Minasyan returns to the production in November and December for three performances.
