Wexford Festival Trust Names Sixth President
By David SalazarAs it prepares for its 75th anniversary, the Wexford Festival Trust has announced the appointment of Dr. Terry Neill as its sixth President.
Neill, who has spent 32 years with Andersen Worldwide/Accenture in Dublin, Chicago, and London, serving as Chair of the worldwide board and Global Managing Partner for the firm’s change management practice, will officially assume the role on Nov. 2 and takes over for Sir David Davies, who will retire at the conclusion of this year’s festival. Sir Davies will be honored with the title of President Emeritus in recognition of his distinguished service since 2014.
“It is a pleasure and a privilege to succeed Sir David Davies—and all that he has contributed—as President of Wexford Festival,” said Dr. Neill, per an official press release. “One of life’s great pleasures is to be given an important role in something you love. The Festival has had 74 marvellous years defined by courage, creativity, and innovation. We have a world-class artistic team, a new executive team with real promise, and wonderful volunteers. The 75th anniversary marks a flourishing next phase, and I am delighted to have a role to play in it.”
This year’s Wexford Festival Opera starts on Oct. 17, 2025, and runs through Nov. 1, 2025.
