Washington Chorus & National Philharmonic to Present ‘L’Éternel’

By Francisco Salazar

The Washington Chorus and the National Philharmonic will present the program “L’Éternel.”

The concert will be performed at the Music Center at Strathmore on May 11 and will be conducted by Eugene Rogers. It will feature soloists Colleen Daly (soprano), Magdalena Wór (mezzo-soprano), Nicholas Music (tenor), and Soloman Howard (bass).

The concert will feature the sacred choral works of Lili Boulanger, Igor Stravinsky, and Ludwig van Beethoven. In “Psalm 24,” Symphony of Psalms, and Mass in C Major, each composer explores faith and spirituality using their unique voice.

In a statement, Rogers said, “The Washington Chorus is honoring the legacy of choral tradition with these iconic works performed alongside seldomly heard works.”
