
Washington Bach Consort to Present Bach’s ‘Mass in B Minor’
By David SalazarThe Washington Bach Consort will present Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Mass in B Minor” on April 25 and 26, 2026 at National Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC.
Music Director Dana Marsh leads the ensemble’s chorus and period-instrument orchestra alongside soloists soprano Amy Broadbent, soprano Chelsea Helm, alto Kristen Dubenion-Smith, tenor James Reese, and bass Jonathan Woody.
Both performances commence at 4 p.m. local time. Audience members are invited to arrive early for Talking Bach, a free pre-concert lecture at 3:00 p.m. by Bach scholar Michael Marissen.
As part of a collaboration with The City Choir of Washington, ticket holders for the April 25 performance will receive a 50 percent discount on The City Choir of Washington’s own performance of the “Mass in B Minor” on May 31 at National Presbyterian Church.
The Washington Bach Consort is a professional choral and period-instrument ensemble based in Washington, DC. Founded in 1977 by the late Dr. J. Reilly Lewis, the ensemble has been led by Artistic Director Dr. Dana Marsh since 2018 and presents over 25 live concerts each season.
