The Volksoper Wien has announced a new Opera Studio under the new direction of Lotte de Beer.

The new studio will be created for the 2022-23 season and will give six international singers and one pianist the opportunity to develop their artistic skills over the course of two seasons.

The artistic director of the opera studio is the director and dramaturg Maurice Lenhard and Eytan Pessen will act as the vocal coach.

The opera studio is aimed at opera singers of all nationalities who want to develop artistically and showcase a transparent, collective, diverse and egalitarian cooperation that is dedicated to all forms of music theater.

In order to be considered for the studio, participants must have a university degree and a successful audition in front of the director of the opera studio.
