Voices of the Valiant will present the benefit concert entitled “A Concert to Honor Our Heroes” on Feb. 22, 2024.

The showcase, which kicks off at 7 p.m. at the South County Civic Center in Delray Beach, Florida, will feature mezzo-soprano Madison Marie McIntosh and Duo Gastesi-Bezerra performing in honor of the Grey Team.

Audiences will hear “The Heroes of Freedom” by Garrett Brown and Army veteran Armando Maysonet as well as two arias from the opera-in-development “3:16” by librettist Susan Conti. The arias include “Is this true” by Akihiro Masuda and “Vince is asleep” by Jeff Shankley.

“’3:16′ is an inspirational story of redemption and transformation, loosely based on the real-life experiences of a United States Army chaplain,” said Conti in an official press statement. “The young Mary Raven runs away from a harsh and unloving father, only to discover that the outside world is even crueler. She grows up to be Lieutenant Mary James – steely on the outside but unable to overcome her intense anger and guilt… until she has a miraculous experience that changes everything.”
