Vlada Koieva Wins First Prize of Premiere Opera Foundation’s 2025 Virtual Competition

Premiere Opera Foundation announced the virtual prize winners and honorees from its latest competition cycle.

Ukrainian soprano Vlada Koieva received the Virtual First Prize and a $2,000 award. Meanwhile, Australian soprano Natasha Gesto earned the Virtual Second Prize and $1,500, while Georgian tenor Giorgi Guliashvili was awarded the Virtual Third Prize and $1,000.

Virtual Premiere Grants of $500 each were awarded to Chinese baritone Zuhao Chen, Filipino mezzo-soprano Michelle Mariposa, and U.S. American tenor Luke Norvell of the United States.

Virtual Finalist Honors, which include a $100 audition credit, were awarded to soprano Jouelle Roberson, tenor Edmond Rodriguez, soprano Emily Damasco, bass Minseok David Kang, mezzo-soprano Natalie Corrigan, baritone Jamal Al Titi, mezzo-soprano Ilanna Starr, mezzo-soprano Fangzhen Wang, and soprano Bronwyn Douglass.
