Viktoria Karlsson Performed ‘Don Giovanni’ with Dislocated Knee
By Francisco SalazarViktoria Karlsson has revealed that she dislocated her knee during a performance of “Don Giovanni” at the Malmö Opera.
In a recent video released by the company, Karlsson said that the shriek that she let out mid-performance on Saturday, Oct. 14, was the result of the injury. She noted that she was able to “hit it in joint” herself and continued the performance.
The soprano will return to the production on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 and will continue the run through December.
Karlsson is a lyrical coloratura soprano from Trollhättan and graduated from the Bachelor of Arts Program in Opera at the University of Theater and Music and at Malmö Opera Academy.
