The Teatro Comunale di Bologna has announced a summer season featuring several concert performances.

For this article, we will only highlight concerts with opera excerpts or vocal performances.

Michele Mariotti opens the summer with a concert featuring music from Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice” as well as music by Beethoven and Mozart.

Performance Date: June 26, 2020

Juraj Valčuha conducts Wagner’s Siegfried Idyl. The program also includes music by Martucci and Beethoven.

Performance Dates: July 1 & 2, 2020

Marco Boni conducts music by Gluck, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, Boccherini, and Haydn.

Performance Date: July 3 & 4, 2020

Veronica Simeoni, Roberto Aronica, and Nicoletta Mezzini perform a recital of music by Cilea, Massenet, Verdi, and Saint-Saens.

Performance Date: July 5, 2020

Mariangela Sicilia and Asher Fisch perform an evening of music by Beethoven and Mozart.

Performance Date: July 29 & 30, 2020

The summer will see three concerts highlighting young artists.
