Members of Tulsa Opera’s Filstrup Resident Artists will join forces with the Bristow Schools Choir for “An Evening with Tulsa Opera.”

The showcase, scheduled for April 18, 2024 at the Freeland Center for the Performing Arts, will feature selections from “Carmen,” “Hamilton,” “La Bohème,” “Tosca,” and “The Sound of Music,” among others.

“We’re excited to return to Bristow to continue collaborating with its talented students,” said Tulsa Opera Artistic Director Aaron Beck in an official press statement. “We love performing both for kids and with kids, and we can’t wait to work with the Bristow choirs on this exciting concert.”

“Our name is Tulsa Opera, but we are also Oklahoma’s opera,” added Tulsa Opera General Director and CEO Lori Decter Wright. “Opera is for everyone and as Oklahoma’s only professional opera company, it’s important to us to make this wonderful art form available not only in Tulsa, but throughout the state. We’re delighted to be able to perform in Bristow.”

Admission for the performance is free. The concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
