The Metropolitan opera has announced a cast change for its production of “La Boheme.”

The company said that “For the performances on September 25 and 27, Freddie de Tommaso will step in to sing the role of Rodolfo.”

De Tommaso is currently performing in a production of “Macbeth” and performed “La Boheme” last season at the Met with OperaWire noting, “Tenor Freddie De Tommaso had a strong impact.”

The tenor will join a cast that includes Juliana Grigoryan, Rosa Feola, Hansung Yoo, Gihoon Kim, Le Bu, and Donald Maxwell. Ramón Tebar conducts the legendary production by Franco Zeffirelli.
