Toronto City Opera to Present ‘Nabucco’

Toronto City Opera is set to present Verdi’s “Nabucco” on Nov. 13 at the historic St. Andrew’s Church in downtown Toronto.

The opera will be sung in original Italian and conducted by Jennifer Tung in the company of musical director Ivan Jovanovic as pianist. Suzanne Yeo will be the assistant director.

Michael Robert-Broder will take on the role Nabucco and Cristina Pisana will appear as Abigaille. Other cast members include Dylan Wright as Zaccaria, Lilian Brooks as Fenena, Corey Arnold and Daevyd Pepper as Ismaele, and Lauren Estey  as Anna.

Toronto City Opera remains committed to opera for all, with a repertoire of classics. Every year it produces at least two operas, a tradition dating back to its creation in 1946.
