Tomasz Konieczny, Anthony Clark Evans, Elena Tsallagova & Sinéad Campbell Wallace Lead Staatstheater Wiesbaden’s 2024-25 Season

The Staatstheater Wiesbaden has announced its 2024-25 Season.


Ligeti’s “Le Grand Macabre” will be conducted by GMD Leo McFall with Pınar Karabulut directing. Seth Carico, Cornel Frey, Galina Benevich, Josefine Mindus, Sion Goronwy, Ariana Lucas, Aaron Cawley, Hovhannes Karapetyan, Inna Fedorii, Fleuranne Brockway, Wooseok Shim, James Young, and Fabian-Jakob Balkhausen starring.

Premiere Date: Sept. 28, 2024

Christian Rohrbach conducts “Salon Strozzi” featuring music by Barbara Strozzi. Maëlle Dequiedt directs with a cast that includes Alyona Rostovskaya, Sarah Yang, Silvia Hauer, Camille Sherman, Katleho Mokhoabane, and Young Doo Park.

Premiere Date: Sept. 29, 2024

Offenbach’s “Fantasio” will feature Fleuranne Brockway, Camille Sherman, Josefine Mindus, Galina Benevich, Jack Lee, Sascha Zarrabi, Jonathan Macker, and Fabian-Jakob Balkhausen. Chin-Chao Lin conducts the production by Anna Weber.

Premiere Date: Nov. 10, 2024

GMD Leo McFall conducts a new production of Wagner’s “Der Fliegende Holländer” directed by Martin G. Berger. Anthony Clark Evans, Johan Reuter Young Doo Park, Stephen Milling, Dorothea Herbert, Vida Miknevičiūtė, Aaron Cawley, Ariana Lucas, Lukas Schmidt, and Joshua Sanders star.

Premiere Date: Jan. 19, 2025

Puccini’s “Tosca” will be directed by José Cortés and will star Sinéad Campbell Wallace, Aaron Cawley, Stefano La Colla, Massimo Cavalletti, and Lucio Gallo. Chin-Chao Lin conducts.

Premiere Date: March 15, 2025

Katleho Mokhoabane, Joshua Sanders, Jack Lee, Hovhannes Karapetyan, Silvia Hauer, Camille Sherman, and Young Doo Park star in Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.” Tamara Lorenzo Gabeiras conducts the new production by Nikolaus Habjan.

Premiere Date: March 30, 2025

Elena Tsallagova, Marc Laho, Kartal Karagedik, and Eugene Richards headline Bizet’s “Les pêcheurs de perles.”  Chin-Chao Lin conducts the production by FC Bergman.

Premiere Date: May 1, 2025

GMD Leo McFall conducts Haydn’s “Die Schöpfung” in a new production by Franziska Angerer. Galina Benevich, Katleho Mokhoabane, and Hovhannes Karapetyan lead the cast.

Beethoven’s “Fidelio” will be conducted by Will Humburg and will star Flurina Stucki, Elisabeth Teige, Aaron Cawley, Nicky Spence, Johannes Weisser, Tomasz Konieczny, Young Doo Park, Alyona Rostovskaya, Kathleho Mokhoabane, and Hovhannes Karapetyan.

Humperdinck’s “Hänsel und Gretel” will showcase the talents of Sam Park, Sharon Kempton, Silvia Hauer, Inna Fedorii, Ralf Rachbauer, Sascha Zarrabi, and Sarah Yang. Holger Reinhardt conducts.

Fleuranne Brockway, Stefano La Colla, Eugene Richards, and Alyona Rostovskaya star in Bizet’s “Carmen.” GMD Leo McFall conducts.
