Toledo Opera to Bring Back ‘Opera Outdoors’

Toledo Opera has announced the return of “Opera Outdoors.”

The weekly performances will take place at the Wildwood Preserve Metropark starting on Sept. 6, 2023. The live pop-up performances will feature such artists as soprano Sara Mortensen, mezzo-soprano Imara Miles, tenor Jon Suek, baritone Evan Fleming, and pianist Steven Naylor.

“Since the program’s inception in the fall of 2020, Opera Outdoors has become a part of our core programming” said Suzanne Rorick, Executive Director of the Toledo Opera, in an official press statement. “We are honored to work alongside our fantastic community partners to share engaging and accessible live music from the vocal repertoire with everyone.”

Toledo Opera’s upcoming season will include productions of “Cinderella,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “Ragtime.”
