The winners of the 32nd Timo Mustakallio Singing Competition have been announced.

The competition, which is held at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, saw soprano Iirisilona Segerstam take home the top prize. Meanwhile, baritone Gabriel Kivivuori Sereno received the award of the Eero Rantala Fund of the Finnish Cultural Foundation.

After winning the top honors, both Segerstam and Kivivuori performed on July 20 at the Urkuyö ja Aaria -festivaali in their own concert.

The national competition was established by Timo Mustakallio, a former general director of the Savonlinna Opera Festival (1929–1984). It is organized by the Savonlinna Opera Festival and the Timo Mustakallio Foundation in collaboration with the Eero Rantala Fund of the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
