Thomas Blunt Named Principal Conductor of the Coro da Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo

The conductor took to social media and said, “Very excited to be taking up the position of Principal Conductor of the Coro da Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo next year! I have worked with the choir over nearly 15 years – am thrilled to be beginning this new chapter with them, and joining Thierry Fischer and the Osesp family.”
Blunt studied at Cambridge University and the Royal College of Music in London, and has worked with the London Philharmonic and Philharmonia Orchestras. He has a close relationship with Glyndebourne, where he began his career as Chorus Master and has since conducted.
He has also conducted at the Royal Danish Opera, Welsh National Opera, Longborough Festival Opera, Royal Opera House, Bampton Classical Opera, and the Buxton Festival.
