Théâtre des Champs-Elysées Announces Major Cast Change for ‘Boris Godunov’

The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées has announced a cast change for its production of “Boris Godunov.”

The company revealed that Alexander Roslavets will take over the title role of Boris, replacing Matthias Goerne who has bowed out.

Roslavets took on the role in a November production of the work by Opéra du Capitole.

Roslavets joins a cast starring Victoire Bunel, LIla Dufy, Svetlana Lifar, Marius Brenciu, Mikhail Timoshenko, Roberto Scandiuzzi, Ariam Hernández, Yuri Kissin, Fabien Hyon, Sarah Laulan, Kristofer Lundin, Barnaby Rea, and Sulkhan Jaiani.

Andris Poga conducts a production directed by Olivier Py.

The Mussorgsky masterwork runs for a total of five performances from Feb. 28 – March 7, 2024.
