The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre has unveiled its 2025-26 season.

Premieres

The season opens with Franz Liszt’s “Christus,” co-produced with the St. Wenceslas Music Festival. Marek Šedivý conducts a cast that includes Veronika Rovná, Lucie Hilsherová, Martin Srejma, Roman Hoza, and Martin Gurbal.

Performance Dates: Sept. 18, 2025

Then comes Philip Glass’ “The Trial.” Jiří Nekvasil directs and Bruno Ferrandis conducts a cast starring Karolína Levková, Bree Nichols, Searka Hrbáckova, Anna Nitrová, Vit Nosek, and Vincenc Ignác Novotny.

Performance Dates: Oct. 9 & 10, 2025

Then comes Rossini’s “Moses and Pharaoh.” David Švec and Lukás Kovarik conduct, and Vladimír John directs a cast starring Martin Gurbal, Andrej Charlamov, Daniel Kfelir, Milos Horák, Martin Javorsky, Martin Srejma, Raman Hasymau, and Vincenc Ignác Novotny, among many others.

Performance Dates: Feb. 12 & 14, 2026

The season closes with Prokofiev’s “The Gambler.” Marek Šedivý conducts and Jiří Nekvasil directs. The cast includes Josef Benci, Frantisek Zahradnícek, Anna Nitrová, Barbora Perná, Alexey Kosarev, Luciano Mastro, Lucie Hájková, Raman Hasymau, and Josef Moravec, among others.

Revivals

“Cendrillon” stars Veronika Kaiserová, Magdaléna Rovenská, and Zuzana Simová sharing the role of Cendrillon. Eduard Kácal and Tomás Krpec are Prince Charling. Michal Bárta conducts.

“Turandot” stars Frédérique Freiss, Maida Hundeling, Dragana Radakovic, Ragaa Eldin, Luciano Mastro, Veronika Rovná, Gabrijela Deglin, Jozef Benci, and Martin Gurbal, among others. Marek Sedivy and Jakub Klecker conduct.

Performance Dates: Nov. 8, 2025 – June 13, 2026

“The Florentine Straw Hat” will star Berk Dalkilic, Martin Srejma, Martin Gurbal, Milos Horák, Jirí Hájek, Roman Vlkovic, Josef Moravec, and Václav Morys, among others. Jiri Habart and Marek Sedivy conduct.

Performance Dates: Nov. 13, 2025 – March 28, 2026

“Rusalka” will star Veronika Rovná and Katerina Knezíková in the title role. Joining them are Martin Gurbal, Frantisek Zahradnícek, Luciano Mastro, Martin Srejma, Václava Krejcí Housková, Katerina Jalovcová, and Sárka Hrbácková, among others.

Marek Sedivy conducts “The Bartered Bride” alongside a cast starring Martin Stolba, Roman Vlkovic, Eva Drízgová-Jirusová, Anna Nitrová, Sona Godarská, and Veronika Rovná, among others.

Performance Dates: Dec. 14, 2025 – Jan. 29, 2026

Veronika Rovná and Jana Sibera alternate as Violetta in “La Traviata.” Joining them are Luciano Mastro, Martin Srejma, Svatopluk Semi, and Ales Jenis. Robert Kruzik conducts.

Performance Dates: March 12 – May 30, 2026

“The Cunning Little Vixen” stars Martin Gurbal, Frantisek Zahradnícek, Eva Drizgová-Jirusová, Jana Horáková Levicová, Daniela Straková-Sedrlová, Martin Javorsky, Václav Morys, Josef Kovacic, and Jan Stáva, among others.
