The Theater Erfurt has announced that it will close due to the difficult epidemiological situation.
In view of the tense health situation, the Theater Erfurt, in coordination with the City of Erfurt, has decided to cancel all performances from Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 through Friday, Jan. 14, 2022. The rehearsals will go on until further notice, said the opera house in an official press statement.
“The unmanageable infection situation that currently prevails in Erfurt is forcing us to temporarily stop with the performances. We regret the missed shows and the associated consequences. The responsible implementation of the measures against the spread of the corona virus currently has a priority. The protection of the health of the population and thus also of our public and our employees comes first. At the same time, we hope that we can be there for our audience again very quickly,” said the General Intendant of the Theater Erfurt Guy Montavon.
The seven-day incidence in Erfurt currently stands at 826.4.
