Theater Bonn has announced a cast change for its production of “Tosca’ on May 11, 2025.

The company said that tenor Jonathan Tetelman will take over the role of Mario Cavaradossi in “Tosca,” replacing Ramon Vargas, who was originally announced.

Tetelman has performed the role of Cavaradossi in numerous productions including the Houston Grand Opera, Theater an der Wien, Theater an der Wien, Semperoper Dresden, and Gran Teatre del Liceu. He also recorded the role for Deutsche Grammophon with Eleonora Buratto and Ludovic Tezier.

Tetelman is set to join Carmen Giannattasio with conductor Dirk Kaftan in a production by Silvia Gatto. 

“Tosca” is set to run through June 26, 2025.
