The Opera Buffs are set to give the world-premiere of six mini operas at its New Music Pop-Up hosted by the Sierra Madre Playhouse.

The new works are “A Tall Order” by John Greer and Sheri Wilner, “Remembrance” by Jean Ahn, “Rapture” by David Wolfson, Luca Sutto’s “Lost in the Scroll,” Roydon Tse and Rachel Gray’s “Grief House,” and Zac Flasch’s “Attached is your invoice.” Each opera is performed in English and offers a mix of comedy, drama, and unexpected storytelling.

Sarah Wang, Joanna Kim, Daniel Voigt, Ashlyn Brown, Adrian Melendrez, Arnold Livingston Geis, Oriana Falla, Rachel Yeo, Devon Guthrie, and Emily Scott make up the cast. They are accompanied by Younghwa Ha and Sky Lee at the piano.

The New Music Pop-Up is scheduled for March 7 and 8.
