
The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition Announces Slate for Annual Gala Recital at The Lotos Club

The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition will host its annual Gala Recital at The Lotos Club on Nov. 12, 2025.
The evening begins with a welcome reception at 6 p.m., followed by the recital at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:45 p.m. The event will be hosted by Grammy Award-winning mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and will feature performances by past district and regional winners of the competition.
This year’s program includes Chuanyuan Liu performing Traynor’s aria from “Lincoln in the Bardo,” Adam Catangui singing “Il mio tesoro” from “Don Giovanni,” Matthew Anchel performing “Vous qui faites” from “Faust,” Abigail Raiford presenting “Ah! non credea mirarti… Ah! non giunge” from “La Sonnambula,” and Abigail Raiford and Lauren Randolph joining for the “Flower Duet” from “Lakmé.” Additional performances will be given by Song Hee Lee, Sofia Gotch, and Lauren Randolph.
The Laffont Grand Finals Concert is scheduled for March 22, 2026.
