Renée Fleming VOICES at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts have announced “John Gallagher Jr. and Band” as an addition to its program this season.

The performance at the Kennedy Center coincides with Gallagher’s national tour of his upcoming third album, “Goodbye or Something.” Composed entirely by Gallagher, the 11 original tracks that make up the album are the artist’s reflection on lost love and the power of music, familial bonds, and a good meal to see us through. Gallagher last appeared at the Kennedy Center on March 9 for two sold-out concerts at The Club at Studio K also as part of Renée Fleming VOICES.

The VOICES concert series, curated by soprano Renée Fleming heralds the extraordinary power and vitality of the human voice across a wide range of genres, including Meow Meow, Jamie Barton, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Nellie McKay, Theo Bleckmann, Lawrence Brownlee, and Billy Childs, among others.

“John Gallagher Jr. and Band” takes place in the Terrace Theater on August 10, at 8 pm.
