The Cleveland Orchestra & Composer Allison Loggins-Hu Announce Concert Series

By David Salazar

The Cleveland Orchestra will present a series of concerts in collaboration with Cleveland community partners.

The series, which is also produced by the orchestra’s Daniel R. Lewis Composer Fellow Allison Loggins-Hu, will feature four performances with one of particular interest for opera lovers.

On April 24, 2024, audiences will see “Faith,” a performance featuring music by Andrea Clearfield, Damien Sneed, Jason Moran, and Allison Loggins-Hull. Laquita Mitchell will star alongside the Fatima Family Center Adult Senior Gospel Choir. They are joined by members of The Cleveland Orchestra.

There will be other concerts on March 12, May 1, and May 11.

“The most beautiful aspect of my appointment as The Cleveland Orchestra’s Daniel R. Lewis Composer Fellow has been the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with people of varying generations and diverse communities across the city of Cleveland,” Loggins-Hull said in an official press statement. “Through this fellowship, my goal has been to craft music inspired by the spirit of this city and the individuals who contribute to its vibrancy. From this intention, the In Community Chamber Concert Series was born.”
