The Cleveland Orchestra will present “Renée Fleming and Friends” on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at its Mandel Concert Hall.

The one-night-only event audiences will hear André Previn and librettist Tom Stoppard’s concert work “Penelope,” which was written specifically for Fleming. Alongside the soprano is actress Merle Dandridge (from “The Last of Us”), pianist Simone Dinnerstein and the Emerson String Quartet. The artistic team will bring to life the mind of Penelope from Homer’s “Odyssey.”

Included on the program is Glass’ “Etude” No. 6 and Beethoven’s “String Quartet” No 14.

As part of the Orchestra’s continuing inclusivity initiatives, there will be several accessibility services including wheelchair access and seating, assistance for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, and assistance for persons with blindness or low vision.
