The Bach Choir Unveils 150th Anniversary Season

The Bach Choir announces its 2025-26 and 150th anniversary season.

Musical Director David Hill MBE leads the Choir and Philharmonia Orchestra.

The season opens with Mahler’s “Symphony” No. 8. Soloists April Fredrick, Zoe Jackson, Caroline Bourg, Hanna Hipp, Hayley Meth, Brenden Gunnell, Josef Jeongmeen Ahn, and Derek Welton are also joined by the London Youth Choirs’ Cambiata Girls.

Performance Date: October 9, 2025 (St Paul’s Cathedral)


The Bach Choir presents “Carols at Cadogan” for the holiday season.

Performance Date: December 15, 2025 (Cadogan Hall)


Toby Spence sings the Evangelist with Simon Shibambu as Christ in Bach’s “St Matthew Passion.” Lucy Crowe, Carolyn Dobbin, Ben Hulett, and Christopher Purves, as well as the London Youth Choirs round out the cast.

Performance Date: March 8, 2026 (Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall)


“Into Spring” featuring Duruflé’s “Requiem” is next.

Performance Date: March 19, 2026 (Holy Trinity Sloane Square)


Bach’s “Mass” in B minor closes out the anniversary season.

Performance Date: May 26, 2026 (Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall)
