The Atlanta Opera Announces New Heath Protocols

The Atlanta Opera has announced new health protocols starting April 4, 2022.

The company, which noted that it has prioritized safety throughout the two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, will no longer require that audience members show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test. It also announced that masks are encouraged for all patrons but not required.

According to the company, it will continue to monitor government policy changes, Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, government mandates, and public health notices and make changes as necessary or appropriate to ensure the safety of staff, artists, and the public.

The Atlanta Opera is set to open a production of “The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs” later this month. Next season the company. The 2022-23 season will see the company open with a production of “Madama Butterfly” and will also showcase three other productions.
