The Atlanta Opera has announced changes to its streaming platform.

The company has restructured its newly renamed streaming platform Atlanta Opera Film Studio to allow greater access to audiences. Per an official press statement, free accounts will allow access to live stream replays, while the monthly subscription has been reduced to $5 to allow access to the organization’s top content.

“Our goal is to expand the audience for the Atlanta Opera and to make opera more accessible to people, wherever they may be,” said Tomer Zvulun, Carl W. Knobloch, Jr. General & Artistic Director, in the press release. “If somebody at home, somewhere across the world has been moved by one of our performances, then The Atlanta Opera has accomplished something important.”

Next up, the company will stream “Das Rheingold” on May 5, with subscribers able to access replays of the production until May 22, 2023.

In addition to its exclusive content, the company has a content partnership with Marquee TV which includes numerous other opera productions.
