
Tenor Murat Karahan to Headline Pavarotti Celebration at Garda Festival in Verona
By David SalazarThe Garda Festival in Verona has announced its program for its third edition.
The opening event on August 1, 2025 is a celebration of the 90th anniversary of Luciano Pavarotti’s birth, featuring tenor Murat Karahan. He will be joined by pianist Gledis Gjuzi in works by Puccini, Verdi, Cilea, Lucio Dalla, Michael Jackson, Paul Anka, and Nino Rota.
Karahan has performed at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi di Trieste, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro Mario del Monaco Treviso, Teatro Real de Madrid, Bolshoi Theatre, Teatro Lirico di Caligari, Fondazione Teatro di Pisa, Fondazione Arena di Verona, Ankara State Opera and Ballet, Ópera de las Palmas, Teatr Wielk – Opera Naradowa, Wiener Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, and the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana.
The festival will also feature a symphonic concert showcasing famed soundtracks from Italian Cinema.
