Tenor Mark Bonney Joins Alexander String Quartet for San Francisco Performances’ ‘Saturday Morning Series’
By David SalazarTenor Mark Bonney is set to join the Alexander String Quartet for a performance on March 11, 2023 as part of San Francisco Performances’ “Saturday Morning Series.”
The concert, which is the last of five in the series, is entitled “Music as a Mirror of Our World:
Chamber Music at the Turn of the Twentieth Century” and features music by Elgar and Vaughan Williams’ “On Wenlock Edge.”
Robert Greenberg, the company’s music historian-in-residence, will be on hand to provide context to the program.
Bonney has performed with such organizations as the California Bach Society, American Bach Soloists, Dartington Festival, Berlin Opera Academy, and Pop-Up Opera. The tenor is set to appear with Remonstrantse Kerk and Westerkerk in the upcoming season.
