Tenor Brian Cheney is set to present “The Beauty of Bel Canto” as part of his online series on Thursday, May 28, 2020

The concert will highlight the operatic and art song repertory of the great Bel Canto masters with an emphasis on Donizetti and Bellini.

This is the eighth concert that Cheney has performed since the quarantine period. Over the past eight weeks, the tenor has performed over 50 pieces in seven half-hour programs including musical theatre, English and French Art Song, as well as plenty of opera staples.

Cheney has performed with such organizations as the National Philharmonic, the Southern Illinois Symphony, Opera Orlando, Opera Delaware, the American Symphony Orchestra, and the New Mexico Philharmonic, among others.
